Mid-Month Flea Markets

There are two flea markets happening on Saturday. One is called FIFTY SEOUL, which is a monthly market we’ve previously mentioned, and the other is a night market, which is a long-running event hosted by The Bling Magazine at uber-trendy bar Platoon Kunsthalle. I’ve had it on good authority from a friend who picked up a very cool old-school Nike backpack for 5ooo won that the latter flea market is definitely worth going to. You get to hang out on the bar’s awesome rooftop, with the DJ spinning tunes, and you get the chance to enter the 1000 won raffle.

One thing I miss about Britain is our awesome charity shops and vintage markets so I’m excited to arm myself with copious cocktails come 2pm Saturday and have a good old rifle through the racks of second-hand. I imagine I’ll be the one making a spectacle of myself by fighting over some one-of-a-kind item, so do cheer me on if you happen to see two girls trying to tear a vintage dress out of each other’s hands. Hopefully I’ll be the one winning.

I mean, I feel like I should go and support legal looting (y’know, actually paying for stuff) since some members of my home country are currently making me look like a thug.

The Bling & Platoon Night Market is at 6pm, Sat 13th of August at Platoon Kunsthalle, 97-22, Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
