AWEH and Laughing Tree Lab are combining forces this Sunday the 22nd of April to bring to you a special Earth Day treat. One Day on Earth will be screening at the lab three times, at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm (with a possible 10pm showing), respectively.
The film in question is no ordinary stream of images. It’s a huge project embarked on by two Americans who encouraged people from across the globe to document their day – or one particular day, to be exact. The chosen day was the 10/10/10 and the best entries of thousands were chosen and woven together to make a beautiful encapsulation of human emotion. According to The New York Times, ”Some of the standout scenes include a high-profile military parade in North Korea (captured by a Chinese tourist), views of Mecca and the Galapagos Islands, a scuba dive in the Red Sea and a 10th birthday party for a Dutch boy with a rare genetic disease and a life expectancy of 10 years.”
To reserve a seat at a screening (for free!) you need to email your name and the screening you want to attend to firstname.lastname@example.org
