Every time the super-sick Seoul garage party series VLUF returns it just gets bigger and better. With a zombified House of the Dead visual theme this time around, volume four is set to be a cutting-edge Halloween appetizer come two weeks early.
Featuring no less than nine bands representing numerous musical genres, including post rock musicians Eastern Sidekick, indie group Table People, and punk rockers Today x Spot, the Saturday night party will also showcase cool alt indie girls Juck Juck Grunzie as part of the VLUF incubating project.
Dancing music is also covered, partly courtesy of cultural movement 360 Sounds. Having recently been impressed with one of its founders DJ Soulscape, who got us moving to his motown and soul mixes at The Creators Project, we’re looking forward to his set on the first floor of the party venue. If you’re more partial to a bit of floor-shaking electro or d’n'b then watch out for the VLUF x DEADEND x Bass Attack triple collaboration.
As well as the tunes there’ll be food and drinks on offer, plus a visual performance from Shin Masta, a poi expert (and one of the organisers of the ultra successful Korea Burn). Mostapes, who did the poster artwork for this volume, plans to show off some live painting on the night.
Ticket prices for the event have increased to 25,000 won, but to be fair there’s a lot more shizzle going on this time. All levels of the venue will be open to fill the demand for this awesome collaborative get-together.
See some our previous image-filled reviews of the party in this post and this post. Also, here’s a cool video by AWEH explaining what VLUF is all about. Some members of Chincha even make a fleeting appearance ; )
