After the success of Busan International Surfing Festival (with actual real-life waves), Yangyang on the east coast of Korea is going to be hosting another one in association with Billabong.

Here’s a vid of the Busan weekend to get your excitement pumping as much as the waves will be.

The start date has been changed from October 1st to October 8th due to military exercises in the area on the first weekend of October. Not to worry though if you were planning a beach trip for the national holiday as the Song-i Mushroom Festival is also occuring in Yangyang on the same weekend, meaning you can get your fix of fungi instead.

The non-magical kind, of course.

The Yangyang International Surfing Festival starts on Saturday October 1st 2011 on Kisamoon beach, Yangyang, Gangwon-do. Buses to Yangyang leave from most major cities or you can travel to Gangneung or Sokcho and change there for Yangyang.
