One of the USA’s top indie-electro DJs is in Seoul to give you a great start to your weekend. this Friday. Fear Eats the Seoul Film Premiere
On Friday an “” of will screen at the Laughing Tree Lab. This version of the film will not be shown again anywhere else, so it will be worth attending if you’re a fan of horror films in monochrome. Screenings are at 7pm, 9:30pm or at Midnight and entry costs 10,000 won. Reserve your ticket here.
Clothes Flea Market @ The Local
On Saturday afternoon (4pm-7pm) a is happening at bar in Haebangchon. If you’re in the area then you should drop by – there are a few people planning to sell off their wares and someone else’s trash may be your treasure, etc etc.
Korea Against Poverty
Korea Against Poverty is putting on a concert at Platoon in Gangnam on Saturday, with an array of bands playing; including The Dirty 30s, who we recently interviewed. Early bird tickets are 10,000 won or it’s 15,000 on the door. All proceeds go to charity, so going along means supporting a good cause.
Super Color Super have brought along another alternative British performer to tour Korea. Max Tundra is a much-acclaimed artist, with an impressive 9.3 album review score from Pitchfork and a vivid description of his music as a “Pop tour de force, bursting with bright, bouncy hooks” from The Guardian. Saturday night is Tundra’s Seoul show, with support from Glen Check, Googolplex and Minority Hero. The show is at Theater Zero, which is one of the better Hongdae venues.
