Seoul’s premiere underground bass club Cakeshop regularly bring the newest and hottest DJs to the city, but hauling Jackmaster to South Korea is even more of a massive coup than usual. The musician is the co-founder of Numbers, one of the sickest labels in the UK right now with a DJ roster that includes the illustrious Jamie xx and SBTRKT.
Jackmaster’s knowledge and expertise have led him to a slot on BBC Radio One’s eminent In New DJs We Trust show while his technical skills have projected him into a residency at FABRIC, one of London’s best venues for truly awesome club music.
As for Jackmaster’s musical style while performing, “Unearthing the latest hip-hop & RnB tracks to straight-up house and techno sets, he has more options up his sleeve than just about any other DJ out there – and a rare knack for connecting seemingly disparate styles with each other.”
