Studio Ghibli Layout Design Exhibit in Seoul

The exhibition will feature production sketches from the beloved Japanese animation studio that created films such as “Spirited Away,” “My Neighbour Totoro” and “Ponyo.” The show will open at the Hangaram Design Museum on Saturday 22nd of June and continue until September 22nd. Brits Talk Korea

The British Council has organised a series of talks from, you got it, Brits with a deeper knowledge of Korea than average. The first in the series is from Andrew Salmon, a writer and journalist who has reported on the Koreas for Forbes, the Times and France 24 to name but a few prominent publications. The talk starts at 7 p.m this Friday night and signing up is necessary.

Beyond Art Launches at Platoon

Last year’s Beyond Art event at Platoon saw an array of international artists fly in for workshops, including design team Vault 49, awesome, massive wall paintings and parties. This year is no different as the same design team are back to decorate the Gangnam venue with an enormous new mural. The launch party sees everything blast off tonight; .

Vans presents Go Skateboarding Day 2013

From midday on June 22, Vans is presenting its  with 6 skateboard shops and distributors taking part. The Vans skate team and its pro riders will be rolling about demonstrating their skills, and any riders can take part in contests to win Vans products, skate stuff and 300,000 won cash throughout the day at the Dongdaemun Cult Park. Free Vans waffles and beer will be served and there’ll also be a skaters’ flea market and acoustic punk rock from Sunn Row from the Strikers and Won Jong Hee from Rux.

Craftworks Teams Up with the Renaissance Hotel Seoul

A buffet that sounds so good you’ll be licking your lips lasciviously when you read the full menu, Craftworks, the beer pub, have really gone all out with the planning for this one-off garden party at the Renaissance Hotel.
