Before I Die I Want To Seoul

Community artist Candy Chang lost a loved one and was inspired to think about capturing life’s moments. With the help of her friends, she covered an abandoned house in her New Orleans neighbourhood with chalkboard paint and left the start of a sentence, “Before I die I want to ______”

By the next morning, the interactive wall was obscured in poignant, sad and funny thoughts.

Due to the success of the project, it spread throughout the world, and right now you can see a version of it in Seoul, near Itaewon.

Watch Candy Chang tell her story in this touching and uplifting TED Talk, and then go take a look at the bucket list of fellow Seoulites.

The Seoul “Before I die I want to….” wall is located a 5 minute walk away from Hangangjin Station, exit 3. It’ll be on your left. The wall is up until July 7.
