Future Shorts is the world’s biggest pop-up festival, allowing independent, award winning films to be screened all over the world. The festival takes place in over 150 cities and 60 countries and comprises a worldwide audience of half a million people, on and offline. After the huge success of the last edition, Future Shorts is back in Seoul – for the second time.
The Future Shorts Spring programme showcases 7 short films, with the theme ‘love and sex’. Highlights include Nash Edgerton’s Cannes and Sundance hit “Bear”, the follow-up to his sensational “Spider”; Sam Taylor-Wood’s BAFTA nominated “Love You More”, the latest short form work from Spike Jonze and Amy Grappell’s four-way affair documentary, Quadrangle.
The festival will take place at the fabulous Platoon Kunsthalle, Gangnam on the 28th April. There will be seating, space to mingle and opportunities to have a cocktail or several. There will also be a BBQ area and food and drink specials, including Max on draft for only 3,000 won. After the films have finished there will be an in-house DJ and a chance to participate in a separate speed-dating event upstairs. Whether it’s to grasp the chance to see the unique films, get to know people, or just hang out with friends, it’s going to be an event to put on your calendar.
Chincha will be taking photos to document the event. Be sure to check back next week to see if your pretty face made it online!
