Yesss, a brand new venue where we can fill our faces with bass. Cakeshop is the brainchild of Multi, the event guys who brought underground DJs Brenmar (NYC), Low Brows (Tokyo) and Bok Bok (London) to Seoul.
Cakeshop launches this weekend at an Itaewon location – a former illegal strip club – with a monumental line-up of edgy local music-makers, as well as a Saturday night appearance from Brit DJ XXXY. Set up as an antithesis to the heartless clubs popping up in Seoul’s most notorious district, Cakeshop is a highly welcome, all-accepting space, especially in the wake of recently launched (and ironically-titled) London . The venue aims to bring a ‘free-spirited vibe’ back into clubbing in Korea, and also features a chill-out patio space for when you’re tired of the dancefloor.
We have 5 pairs of free pre-12 guest-list spaces courtesy of Cakeshop for both Friday and Saturday night, to give away to Chincha readers. Share this post on Facebook (publicly, so we can check) and then comment on it with your name, which night you want to go to, and what your current favourite Seoul venue is (and why). We’ll pick the winners randomly and announce them on Friday afternoon.

ReplyYou need to state which night you want entry to and what your current favourite venue in Seoul is. We’ll be randomly choosing winners tomorrow.
